Data center worker chose his conscience over his clock-in time after discovering a sickly stray kitten that sought refuge between the servers: ‘Told my boss to kick rocks and went straight to the vet!’

Regardless of your thoughts about data centers and what belongs in them or not, we could all agree that kittens definitely do not belong in a place like this.

This is not a discussion about the morality of data centers, the damage they cause to different aspects of life, and the actual need for them in modern society. Because, regardless of what you might think of data centers, they exist, and people work there - just as this one man who's doing his apprenticeship in one, so he doesn't actually have a choice but to be there. But since he's already there, probably, that's why the Cat Distribution System sent the sickly stray kitten to this unlikely place to be found by him.

You see, we can't really understand the genius of the CDS, but it does what it does best - sends cats in need to the right people who will care for them. So when you find a cat in the most unlikely of places, seemingly in random, it's most probably this mysterious entity telling you, "Congrats! You're a cat pawrent now." And the only logical conclusion you should have is "Well, I guess I have a cat now." But luckily for this one man, his wife and he already know the spiel, with the cat and two dogs they raise back home.

Another thing we thought of is that not everyone is suited to care for a cat who needs medical attention. We get it, it's a really tough job. But in some mysterious way, the Cat Distribution System knows to match the needs of the cat to the capabilities of the person they assign them to. And this kitten? He's healthy, happy, and safe - despite his rough beginning.
